Your company Delta, will start here. Bravo company are here and are in no state to help you.
You are to immediately clear any FO (Forward Observers) on the small hill in front of you position. Once you have occupied that hill you will be inside the minimum range of the enemy artillery. You must prevent enemy troops from coming into the forward areas near the beach as they will be able to spot for the enemy artillery.
You must take Sainte Marie Hill the enemy artillery is in prepared positions on the reverse slope. Intel thinks we have one and a quarter to one and a three quarter hours to clear them off the hill before a sizable counterattack sweeps round the hill and takes out the beach heads.
We have an estimated one and a quarter to one and a three quarter hours
before a sizable counterattack sweeps round
the hill and takes out the beach heads. We need that hill to spot any counter
attack and to call down naval barrages on it.
BEWARE we are receiving
reports that the enemy artillery has the entire area south west of Sainte Marie Hill zeroed and there is a
heavy enemy presence there. They probably have the area to the North zeroed as well. Both areas are
Designated Free Fire for NATO air units and you should not enter them. Bravo
Reports seeing enemy troops filtering back toward the beach both snipers and
FOs.

We have had a hard time taking this beach. The enemy has artillery dug in the
reverse slope of Sainte Marie Hill. Bravo
has cleared the FO (Forward Observers) in the immediate area of the beach but
there are more on the small hill to the west south
west and they are already filtering back down to the beach. The minute anyone
pokes their head over the ridge in front of the beach the whole beach gets a
dose of heavy artillery. The Royal Marine Commandos on Landing Beach AXE and Landing Beach
MACE are being chopped to pieces down there, and Intel tells us we have one
and a quarter to one and three quarter hours before a sizable
counterattack sweeps round the hill and takes out the beach heads. so it is
imperative you get a move on. We have already tried an air attack on the hill we
lost four planes. The hill is studded with AA and SAMS.
Back

You are second wave. The whole attack is stalled due to heavy enemy
artillery. All the RRF (Rapid Reaction Force) troops are stuck on the beaches.
Get the initiative back.
Clear any FO (Forward Observers) on the small hill overlooking the beach and prevent them returning to the beach area.
Devise a hasty attack and take Sainte
Marie Hill. you may have as little as one and a quarter hours before a
sizable counterattack sweeps round the hill and takes out the beach heads.

Your support and heavy weapons platoon are to go ashore at the headland to beach Lance
with the third wave. You have one Naval bombardment of 2 salvos available
to you; use it wisely, you have 3 naval smoke available. Your mortars are
already ashore and will move up with the rest of the heavy weapons and support
platoon.

There are enemy forward observers in the area uphill of the beach remove them.
Devise a hasty attack and capture Sainte Marie Hill, destroy the enemy artillery somewhere on its reverse slope. Get those bastards off my hill Captain Hollis.
Message from the colonel:- Good job out there. Get the remains of your company into defensive positions. I am sending you up some replacements and whatever reinforcements I can find. We are expecting a counter attack sometime today. You must hold the hill at all costs.
